NOTICE OF SPECIAL QUESTION ELECTION

REPUBLIC COUNTY, KANSAS

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of Republic County, Kansas (the "County"), that the Board of County Commissioners has heretofore, pursuant to resolution duly passed, called and will hold on November 4, 2025, a special question election in the County for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the County the following proposition:

Shall Charter Resolution No. 2025-21 of Republic County, Kansas, entitled:

A CHARTER RESOLUTION OF REPUBLIC COUNTY, KANSAS EXEMPTING SUCH COUNTY FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-1758, K.S.A. 12-1760 AND K.S.A. 12-1767b RELATING TO PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSIONS AND THE ISSUANCE OF REVENUE BONDS THEREBY; AND PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE AND ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS RELATING THERETO, INCLUDING A PROVISION THAT AUTHORIZES A REPUBLIC COUNTY, KANSAS PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION TO ISSUE REVENUE BONDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT EXCEEDING $17,860,000 TO PAY THE COSTS TO FINANCE CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING OF A NEW COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT FACILITY TO BE LOCATED AT 1192 BELL LANE, BELLEVILLE, KANSAS
